How do revolutionary thought and the question "nature or landscape" fit together, and what distinguishes nature from landscape?

Dominique Pagani draws up the balance sheet of the year and shows that the two themes, revolutionary thought from Rousseau to Lenin and "nature or landscape," are not merely juxtaposed. Delacroix's painting, Rousseau, and the double event of the industrial revolution and the French Revolution provide the mediation: nature becomes spectacle when it recedes before technique. He then moves from the conjunction of ordinary language (nature, landscape, décor) to a disjunction between nature and artifice, which the law of falling bodies calls into question in favor of the concept of matter. From this he draws a reflection on language, on the practical essence of philosophy, on representation, which is never immaterial, and on causality according to the Phaedo. The audience's questions lead him to the historical present as a limit according to Hegel, to the romantic unhappy consciousness, to pure music, and to the contemporary repression of materialism.
