What does Michel Clouscard's thought contribute to understanding the capitalism that emerged from May 68?

This radio broadcast introduces Michel Clouscard to listeners who do not know him. It starts from his trajectory, from the 1929 crisis to that of 2008, and from his assessment of May 68: the largest workers' strike in the country's history is eclipsed by a "societal" May that hastens the decline of Gaullism and communism. Dominique Pagani sees in this "scandal" the origin of Clouscard's thought, just as Socrates' death is at the origin of Plato's. With Clouscard's publisher, he then sets out the notions of liberal-libertarian, libidinal, ludic and marginal consumption, and the capitalism of seduction. He compares Clouscard to Rousseau through their common people's origins and their critique of worldliness. The session ends on the "false enlightenments" that Clouscard confronted: Althusserian Marxism, Deleuzo-Foucauldianism, and Bourdieu's sociology.
