How does Rousseau open the sequence that runs to Lenin, and what becomes of this legacy in Nerval, the romantics, Clouscard and Nietzsche?

Dominique Pagani starts, in a bistro conversation, from the pleasure in Rousseau: a measured, sublimated pleasure, which Nerval links to Rousseau's tomb and to a legend in which Gabrielle d'Estrées becomes the symbol of extorted surplus value. He then reads the fifth walk as the invention of modern poetic prose, at the boundary between the French Enlightenment and the German romantic night. According to him, Rousseau escapes madness because he knows that the collective is decisive, something the romantics and Musset lost. He claims a sequence running from Rousseau to Lenin, from whom he retains the testament and the reading of Hegel's Logic. He then turns to Clouscard's fate, misread by the right, to eroticism as a class element, then to a romantic Christian Nietzsche, to Wagner and to Corsica.
