10#7 L'éco-nazillonisme "post-moderne" - Le Gorgias de Platon

Why does "post-modern" thought, which claims descent from Nietzsche, deify nature and despise equality merely repeat the thesis of Callicles in Plato's Gorgias?

Dominique Pagani starts from a video excerpt of Julien Rochedy praising Nietzsche: aristocratic ideal, refusal of guilt, disparagement of slave morality. He opposes to it the tirade of Callicles in the Gorgias, who defends the same theses 2500 years earlier, to show how "old-fashioned" post-modernity is. He brings out the systematic character of this ideology: an ontologism that makes nature, understood as heredity, the law of the city, and reduces right to fact, against heritage, against Rousseau's conception of right, and against Hegel's critique of von Haller. He then shows, with Socrates and with Hegel reading Plato, that rationality (non-contradiction, definition) is linked to democracy and that the modern world rests on the free infinite personality. Questions from the audience lead him to narcissism and personal development, to Faust, to Foucault reading Descartes, to Hegel's alleged liberalism, and to the place of the psyche in a classless society.
