Why must we "repoliticize the political," and what does the debate between Hegel, Marx and Sartre on totality and totalization say?

The session extends a talk by Bernard Bourgeois on the necessity of repoliticizing the political. According to him, the public, the social and the societal have their place, but the political remains the site of all efficacy and today exists in the form of the nation-state. The talk arrives at the observation of a philosophical desert since Hegel and Marx. Dominique Pagani then intervenes in the debate: he reads Hegel's letter to Zellmann on the French Revolution, rereads the history from 1789 to 1989 as a conflict between revolution and counter-revolution, and recalls that totalization unfolds in time. The debate finally turns on the relation between identity and difference: in Hegel, identity is primary; in Marx, difference identifies itself in association; in Sartre, difference remains primary and final.
