Why must the political today be repoliticized, against the reduction of objectivity to intersubjectivity?

The session is a lecture by a Hegelian guest, followed by a discussion with Dominique Pagani and a Marxist publisher. The guest starts from the announced theme: the political must be repoliticized as to its meaning, because all power is political, including when it abstains. He reads history according to the three terms of the republican motto: liberty until 1789, equality sought from 1789 to 1989, fraternity of the societal since 1989. Each of the three terms becomes an abstraction if affirmed alone. Against participation and intersubjectivity, he defends institution, the state and the nation-state, and shows that Robespierre and Marx recognize the political. The discussion concerns Marx: individualism and association, the difference between totality and totalization (Marx against Sartre), essence and concept in Hegel, the primacy of the force of production over relations of production, Habermas and Europe. It arrives at the formula uniting liberty and liberation: 'no liberty without liberation, no liberation without liberty.'
