Does a privation of truth exist, a lie to oneself, that is not culpable, provided it is accompanied by social justice?

Dominique Pagani resumes the workshop on the logics of the subject and returns to the species of the false: error, illusion, lying to others, and lying to oneself, between which there exists an intermediate zone that escapes consciousness. He illustrates this zone through the immanent punishment attached to crime (Abel, Oedipus) and through Hegel's letter to Schelling on religion in the service of despotism. He then advances a single new thesis: if money allows one to ignore oneself, it is good to forget one's finitude, provided every citizen has the same material means of forgetting. He draws on Pascal's analysis of diversion, where Pascal ultimately vindicates hunting and gambling, and links this thesis to social justice (Rousseau, Clouscard). He ends on repression and speech in Hölderlin, on the "night of the world" in Hegel's Philosophy of Spirit of 1805, and, in response to the audience, on the expulsion from the earthly paradise in Genesis.
